Have information handy in case of an asthma attack
The goal is to maintain asthma control, so there will be better lung function, less symptoms and fewer asthma attacks. For emergencies, it helps to have important information about a person's asthma written down and handy on an asthma quick-reference card.
In case of a severe asthma attack, the asthma quick-reference card tells healthcare professionals, your friends and coworkers, as well as your child's babysitters, teachers and coaches, what medications you or your child takes and whom to notify.
An asthma quick-reference card lists:
- Asthma and other medications
- Doctor contact information
- Other emergency information
